I’ll be honest – it’s the very last day of April and yes, technically, the end of Allergy Awareness Week… but better late than never, right?
This morning, with a coffee in one hand and my laptop in the other, I completed a short course on allergy awareness and sensitivities in skincare and holistic treatments. Not because I had to, but because I wanted to.
It reminded me just how important it is to stay informed and updated in this industry. At The Tonic Clinic, we work with people’s skin, health, and wellbeing every single day – and when someone puts that level of trust in you, it’s your responsibility to keep learning, growing, and staying ahead of the curve.
Allergies and sensitivities can be unpredictable. Sometimes they’re obvious, sometimes they’re not. With so many new ingredients, trends, and treatments emerging all the time, it’s crucial that I stay educated so I can give each client the safest, most effective experience possible.
Continuing professional development (CPD) isn’t just a box to tick – it’s part of who we are as therapists and practitioners. It keeps us sharp, compassionate, and confident in our care.
So whether you’re visiting The Tonic for a relaxing treatment, a holistic treatment, or just to chat through your scalp journey – know that you’re in hands that are not only experienced, but always learning.
Here’s to lifelong learning, safer treatments, and always putting your wellbeing first 💜
